Item wise, how do you equip your hero’s? Do you try to find old greens or go for collectors + mods? I don't mind spending money on my characters, but I would like to try and keep Hero costs to a minimum. Any suggestions?

Before Nightfall came out me and a couple groups within my guild went Oro and SF farming like crazy so i have all my heros equipped with some so-so greens and my Dunkoro with Brohns Set. I also use the collector offhand for death magic outside of droks for when i set Olias as Pro MM. That and the + 15 energy wand from factinos is great for those that want a kickass set thats not too much money and easy to farm the materials and such.

When you buy weapons in NF, do they come with mods? I know I got one collector shield for Koss that was +30/-5, but I haven't looked at the weaponsmiths much...

Lol, I already forsaw this and stocked up all greens at the triple green weekend, which got me a total of 97. Now my Oliasses and Master of Whispers run around with Ghails, Woespreader and Stonereaper, Koss got Sskai + Strongroot, Geoffer or Sunreach, Jin and Magrid got Ckkr Flatbow and Chebaba Longbow, Dunkoro and Tahlkora got Kepkhet and Huhrahs Staff, etc etc etc. Melonni and General Morgahn both get the bonusitems from the Preorder kit, since they can use customized items from the same player that is their leader.

Now I have 10 characters, all having 14 heroes, which means that I still need more items for the rest of the heroes. That will probably be Collectors items, since they are cheap and good modded.

LOL, collectors is the way to go for heroes, unless u have old greens laying around with no use.

For monks i use kephket's refuge, and for the others i use collector/crafter with mods

how do you get rid of the hero starter weapons, I tried to drop them in a instance, salvage them and sell them but nothing has worked so far. Now they are taking up valuable space. Any suggestions?

I've been getting greens and giving them to my heroes. The only one who doesn't have one is Melonni, for some reason I just can't seem to not sell any scythes I find for some reason!

Although I never even tried the PRP weapons on em so now I will do that!

I'm trying to keep costs down for my heros, and since you can't call 'Zhen is wielding a Koosun's Fire Staff', I don't see the point in wasting expensive greenies on them ^^

For my fire nukers I got a collectors fire staff from Cantha (which looks the same as Koosuns), put on each a 19% enchants mod I had lying around and a +5 energy staff......almost identical stats to Ragos, bar 1% enchants, and same looks as Koosuns, works for me!

For my MM, did the same - got a collectors bone staff from Cantha (looks the same as ghials except colour - just dye it grey and there you go), added +5e and a Attribute +1 (19%) mod (turns into Death +1) and again, 1% less than Ghials but otherwise identical.

For my monks, I just gave them yakslappers, wenslaus's whatever, since they only cost 1k or so - cheaper than building a weapon from scratch.

The rest just got whatever golds I had lying around in storage, since I don't really use them much. What will be much more expensive is upgrading their armor fully with runes and insignias - atm I only have essential ones for builds, such as sup death for MM.

All my caster heroes use the pre-order ritualist staff since those provide 10% faster casting and 20% faster recharge for all skills. My warriors/Koss use serrated shields from the GOTY edition and 14>50 swords. One Olias has a Ghial's Staff, but only because it was an extra.
